TITANIC DVD release-commemorative sculpture commission
Just inside the lobby of Lightstorm Entertainment, a stainless steel archer aims a lightning bolt at all who enter. This striking wall-relief was created in 1994 by sculptor Dave Stevenson, whose latest James Cameron inspired artwork is somewhat less forbidding.
Docked at an elegant brass pedestal, Stevenson’s sterling silver ship doubles as both a neck pendant and lapel pin. Commissioned by acclaimed DVD producer Van Ling to commemorate the creation of Paramount/Fox's TITANIC: Special Collector's Edition DVD set, the limited edition sculpture was presented by Ling to 100 key participants–including scores of cast and crew members of Cameron's 1997 blockbuster–as a thank-you gift for their support and collaboration on the DVD project.
